5-Fluoro-α-methyltryptamine (5-Fluoro-αMT) is a tryptamine derivative. It is similar in structure to psychedelic tryptamines such as αMT and 5-MeO-αMT.

5-Fluoro-αMT has been found to act as a potent and selective MAO-A inhibitor,[1][2] and also as a 5HT2A receptor agonist.[3] It produces a strong head-twitch response in mice, and this effect is known to correlate with psychedelic effects in humans,[4][5] which suggests that 5-Fluoro-αMT would be an active psychedelic in humans, although it is not known to have been tested in humans and could potentially be dangerous due to its strong inhibition of MAO-A.
