13 July 1987
|Occupation||Television presenter, journalist, model|
|Parents||Richard Madeley, Judy Finnigan|
Madeley was born in Manchester. She has a brother, Jack (born 19 April 1986), and two older half-brothers: Dan and Tom Henshaw, (twins born 2 March 1977) from her mother's first marriage to David Henshaw.
Madeley attended Leeds Trinity & All Saints College (whose degrees used to be awarded by Leeds University) in 2006-2007, where she lived in Kirkstall Halls. She met her now ex-boyfriend David McNidder while studying there. Madeley left the college after one term due to media premonitions of her appearing on ITV reality television shows in the future.
Madeley first came to the public eye during a stint presenting Big Brother's Big Mouth with her brother Jack. Since then, Madeley has done numerous modelling shoots (including one with FHM magazine) and presenting jobs on Richard & Judy programmes, largely as a roaming reporter. In January 2009 she was named as the new face of Ultimo underwear.
In January 2010, Madeley participated in Celebrity Quitters, programme where five celebrities attempted to give up smoking using NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy).
In 2011 Madeley participated as a contestant on the skating show Dancing on Ice, paired with French skater Michael Zenezini. Madeley reached the final three of the competition which included former EastEnders actor, Sam Attwater, and children's television presenter, Laura Hamilton. She received third place in the competition.
In July 2013 Madeley launch FitnessFondue.com, a fitness and nutrition advice website with boyfriend Danny Young (actor). Madeley and Young regularly post tips, advice and their own success stories.
Madeley was mugged in March 2007, losing her mobile phone to the thief. Father Richard famously shook his fist on the next day's edition of Richard & Judy, saying: "I'd just like to make a gesture at this point to the person who stole our daughter's mobile phone."
There was controversy when pictures from Madeley's Facebook page emerged in February 2009 showing her smoking cannabis. Madeley's father Richard has since defended his daughter stating that it was "just a bong" and that he "couldn't give a stuff".
On 16 August 2009, she was arrested and charged with drunk driving after her car was found crashed, and rolled over on its roof, in north London. This was confirmed by the Metropolitan Police. The court heard that she had drunk two cocktails before the crash, and her car clipped another vehicle and overturned. She was disqualified for 20 months.
